• We respond during working hours Monday to Friday between 08:00 to 18:30.
• You can request a particular doctor or nurse  (so long as they’re working) or any other doctor working on the day. You have may to wait for your preferred clinician or nurse. 
• The clinician will decide the best way to contact you however you can also specify your preference in your request.  We ask you as an automessage to confirm your contact details. Please ensure you inform us if there any changes to your contact details. 
• If we need to see you we will usually give you a face-to-face or video appointment on the same day if urgent. 
• Video consultations are provided by our own doctors through a secure link to your mobile, tablet or laptop.
• You can register for askmyGP now, without any paperwork
• Please see data protection and privacy notice related to Digital platforms used by the practice.  

If you are struggling to use askmyGP or have no access to internet or prefer to phone or askmyGP is closed (as all appointments have been taken) and you require an urgent appointment, please ring practice at 0161 8655556 and  one of our receptionists will take  few details about your problem or request and then pass these to the GP. However you choose to get in touch, your GP will get contact you quickly and either sort out your problem on the phone, by secure message, or arrange to see you the same day, or another day if that’s more convenient.

The Patient online access is also available which means you can access your appointments and order repeat prescriptions. You can also request repeat prescriptions by emailing at gmicb-tr.prescriptionntgp@nhs.net

Weekend appointments are also available for Trafford patients to book to see a GP, Nurse (Smears only) or Phlebotomist between 09:00 and 13.00 on Saturday and Sunday mornings at North Trafford Group Practice as part of Trafford Primary Health’s commitment to seven day GP access for Trafford patients.

Patients are requested, where possible, to telephone before 11am if a home visit is required that day.

We would request that, apart from the genuinely housebound, all other patients attend the surgery rather than request a home visit because of the extra time home visiting takes. On average four to five patients can be seen in surgery in the time it takes to do a single house call. In addition, the care that can be offered due to the lack of adequate lighting, examination facilities and equipment means that you may not receive as good a service as the doctor may be able to offer if you came to the surgery.

Please note that the doctor may telephone you rather than visit you if this is medically appropriate. Ultimately it is the doctors right to decide whether or not a visit is appropriate for a particular set of circumstances.

It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters may be removed from the list.

You can ring the practice if you wish to cancel the appointment. Please inform us a day before so we can make it available for other patients. 

We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments. A cancellation link is also sent in reminder if you can not keep your appointment. 

Once you register at the practice, you are automatically opted to this services, however you can request to opt out from this service by informing the practice. 

It is your responsibility to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
